Authorities say an 84-year-old man was killed Wednesday when his car crashed on Route 202 in Cortlandt Manor.

The crash occurred at about 7:30 a.m. Police say the sun?s glare may have blinded the elderly driver, Murray Fleischmann, of Scarsdale, leading him to crash his Honda into a truck.

?On this particular road, it's year round, we have trouble with [the glare],? says Investigator Sean Morgan, of the New York State Police. ?When we first arrived here, even looking in that direction standing outside our vehicles, [the glare was] pretty severe. Definitely would impact his view of the oncoming truck.?
