Police probe fatal head-on collision

A head-on collision early Saturday morning killed one woman and has left the other driver seriously injured.

Amy Taylor, 29, was killed when another car crossed the double-yellow line, slamming into her car along Pelham Road near Park Avenue. She died at Sound Shore Medical Center.

Family and friends mourning their loss say Taylor was happy and excited about her recent promotion at the Westchester Medical Center.

The second driver is still hospitalized with serious injuries, including a ruptured spleen and broken leg.

Police say no charges have been filed, but that the accident is under investigation. They are still waiting for toxicology results from the other driver.
