3 new swine flu cases confirmed in WC

Health officials say three more swine flu cases have been confirmed in Westchester County, bringing the total to 23.
According to officials, a Yonkers teenager, a Scarsdale elementary school student and a man from Port Chester are the latest Westchester residents to have contracted the virus.
The Yonkers teen attends school out of the county and, according to the Westchester County Department of Health, his condition is improving. The student who attends Heathcote Elementary School in Scarsdale was not in class when he fell ill. He has since fully recovered and returned to school. The Port Chester man is also said to have recovered and went back to work.
Westchester County Department of Health Spokesperson Caren Halbfinger says all 23 cases of the swine flu in the county are considered mild and of minimal significance to public health.
Residents are reminded to wash hands frequently, cover their mouths while coughing and sneezing and to stay away from people who are sick.
