Cops probe death of Eastchester student
Eastchester police are investigating the death of a Westchester Community College student, whose body was found at a friend?s apartment on Maple Avenue Wednesday morning.
According to authorities, friends of 19-year-old Kei Miyagawa tried to shake him and talk to him, but to no avail. When paramedics arrived on the scene at 30 Maple Ave., Miyagawa was already dead.
A source tells News 12 Westchester that police are investigating whether Miyagawa?s death is connected to drugs. The victim?s family, however, told police the 19-year-old man did not use any illegal substances.
Police say there doesn?t appear to be any foul play involved in the student?s death, but they are still awaiting results of toxicology tests and the medical examiner?s report.
