Police search for father in boy's abduction

Police in Port Chester are searching for a man they say abducted his own son.

Police say a 4-year-old boy, Erson Romeo Rodriguez, was taken Monday from the parking lot of a Burger King on Boston Post Road during a supervised visit. According to police, the boy was escorted to the supervised visit by his stepfather, who witnessed the incident.

Authorities say they are searching for a 2000 silver minivan with Tampa, Fla. plates. They have not yet decided to issue an Amber Alert for Rodriguez because they don't have the minivan's license plate number.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Port Chester police at 914-939-1000.
