Ex-Yonkers casino worker: I tried to stop scam

A former worker at the Empire City at Yonkers Raceway casino says the three people indicted this week for allegedly rigging promotional giveaways aren't the only ones who were involved in the scam.

The woman, who worked as a supervisor in the promotions department of the casino, says she was fired after an interview 10 months ago with News 12 Westchester that ultimately led to Tuesday's indictments.

The three indicted former employees are accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars through a scam in which friends and family won rigged giveaways. The workers then allegedly received kickbacks.
