Elderly man hurt in clash over parking space
A 30-year-old man punched a senior citizen during a disagreement over a parking space on Nepperhan Avenue Thursday night, police say.
According to authorities, a 76-year-old man had been waiting for a parking space to open up in front of 225 Nepperhan Ave. When it did, police say Arthur Widlowski, of Yonkers, drove in and took it. When the elderly man got out of his car to argue, police say Widlowski hit him twice in the face.
The 76-year-old was treated at the hospital for minor abrasions and contusions. Widlowski now faces a second-degree assault charge.
