Cops: Woman dragged off street & raped

Police in Yonkers are searching for two armed men they say raped a woman while she was walking home on Radford Street Thursday night.

Police say the men grabbed the 28-year-old woman, dragged her into the basement of an apartment building and assaulted her. She escaped and managed to run to a nearby police station, according to authorities. When officers came out they say the men were gone.

Police say only people who live in the area would really know about the basement where the woman was allegedly raped. They think the assailants may be locals. The woman was treated and released from the hospital.
