Cops: Grenades discovered inside Yonkers home

Police, firefighters and the bomb squad took no chances Thursday afternoon after two grenades were discovered inside a Yonkers home.

The discovery was made inside 40 Spruce St. where police say they found two grenades and a large caliber shell. Cops were already at the house on another matter when they found the grenades.

The Westchester County Bomb Squad was called in to remove the grenades, which were found to be inert.
