Funeral held for victim of Mahopac Falls crash

Family and friends gathered at Temple Beth Shalom in Mahopac Falls Thursday to say their final goodbyes to 19-year-old Aaron Talcovitz who was killed in a crash on Route 6N.

Investigators say Talcovitz and two friends were riding with Michael Jorgensen, who was speeding and possibly intoxicated Tuesday. Jorgensen attempted to pass another car, lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree, police say.

All four teenagers were taken to Westchester Medical Center, where Talcovitz was pronounced dead. Jorgensen remains in critical condition, while the other two passengers are expected to recover.

Jorgenson is being charged with driving while impaired by drugs.
