Police: String of attacks possibly linked

? Investigators say the brutal beating of a man on Yonkers Avenue Sunday morning could be linked to other recent attacks in the area.

According to investigators, the 52-year-old was beaten so badly that he was left with a fractured skull and eye sockets.

Police have one suspect in custody and are trying to figure out whether the same attackers could be behind several other recent muggings in the area.

Sunday?s brutal daylight attack was the fifth in Yonkers, Mount Vernon and New Rochelle over the last week. Police say some of the attacks share similar characteristics.
