Slain Fla. hotel heir laid to rest
Some 20 relatives and friends gathered in Queens Wednesday for a funeral of a Florida businessman who was found bludgeoned to death in a Rye Brook hotel nearly eight weeks ago.
Ben Novack Jr., the son of the Fontainebleau Hotel founder, was laid to rest during a private ceremony alongside his father and other relatives inside the family's mausoleum at Mount Lebanon Cemetery.
The belated funeral arrangements come after weeks of legal wrangling between Novack's widow, Narcy Novack, and her daughter, Mae, over who will gain control of Novack's multimillion-dollar estate.
Nancy Novack remains a person of interest in her husband's death, police say.
