Yonkers boy injured in car, bike collision
An 11-year-old boy suffered head injuries after he was hit by a car Saturday while riding his bike.
The boy was riding along Linden Street in Yonkers when, according to witnesses, he was thrown off his bike, landing face-first into the concrete. He is currently in stable condition at Jacobi Medical Center.
A nearby resident says Linden Street sees many reckless drivers.
Police questioned the driver of the car immediately after the crash. They believe it was an accident and it is unlikely the driver will be charged.
