(AP) - The ex-husband of a woman found unconscious and badly injured in a northern New Jersey hotel parking lot has been released after extensive questioning.
Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli said Allan Pelcak Jr. of Spring Valley, N.Y., was released at 6:45 a.m. Saturday after being questioned for about 12 hours. No charges have been filed against him, and Molinelli would not say whether Pelcak is a considered a suspect in the ongoing investigation.
Laura Matousek of Valley Cottage, N.Y., was found Friday morning in the parking lot of the Sheraton Crossroads Hotel in Mahwah. She was supposed to meet a co-worker there to get a ride to work.
Matousek, who had apparent stab wounds to her front torso, was in critical condition at Hackensack University Medical Center on Friday night. But a hospital spokeswoman said Saturday that further details on her condition would not be disclosed.
