Girl brings fake grenade to Catholic school

Police say a White Plains student brought what turned out to be a toy grenade to class Wednesday.

Students at the Academy of Our Lady of Good Council High School who saw the girl showing the device to her friends alerted school officials, who then called the authorities. The student was removed from class and was taken to police headquarters along with her parents.

The student is not expected to face charges, but school officials say she has been suspended and her status is under administrative review.
