GOP county exec. hopeful holds business panel
The Republican candidate for Westchester County executive hosted a round table discussion Tuesday to address high property taxes and business development challenges.
"There are small stores along Main Street that are struggling to stay open," said Rob Astorino, adding that the county needs to adopt more business-friendly practices and provide tax relief.
Westchester County Deputy Executive Susan Tolchin countered Astorino's claims, insisting that businesses are thriving under Andy Spano's leadership.
The discussion session was attended by some of the top business and civic leaders from across the county who have so far withheld their support from either candidate in the race.
