Sleepy Hollow police chief placed on leave
The embattled Sleepy Hollow police chief was placed on paid administrative leave by the Board of Trustees Tuesday.
Police Chief Jimmy Warren is accused of improperly taking his village-owned SUV out of Westchester County and then getting into a fender bender in Pennsylvania.
Sleepy Hollow Mayor Ken Wray has also questioned why Warren's son, a village police officer, allegedly made more in overtime than 20 senior officers.
The village board is expected to meet next week to decide whether to fire Warren or keep him on as police chief. In the meantime, a veteran police sergeant has been put in charge of the Sleepy Hollow Police Department.
