Police search for men in armed robberies

Police in two municipalities are joining forces to catch the men responsible for robbing 7-Eleven stores in two separate towns early Sunday morning.

According to police, two men armed with a rifle stormed into the 7-Eleven on Central Park Avenue in Greenburgh at around 5 a.m. and demanded money. A half hour earlier, two armed men also held up a 7-Eleven on McLean Avenue in Yonkers.

Investigators say they are now trying to see if there?s a connection between the two robberies. The suspects were seen on surveillance video during the second robbery wearing Halloween masks and dark hooded sweatshirts.

Anyone with information is asked to call Greenburgh police.
