Toyota lands on top of 2 cars in Port Chester

An out-of-control Toyota landed on top of two other vehicles in Port Chester yesterday, raising new concerns about sticky accelerators.

The accident happened in the parking lot of Kohl's Shopping Plaza. An eyewitness says the Toyota accelerated and ended up on top of two parked cars.

Luis Fernandez says when he went outside the mall, he saw a Toyota Camry sitting on top of his Acura and his friend's Nissan.

The driver of the Toyota and his passenger had to be taken down by a ladder.

A similar crash that happened in Harrison last month involving a Toyota turned out to be due to driver error.
