Yonkers fire displaces 5 families

A blaze in a Yonkers apartment has displaced five families, fire officials say.

According to firefighters, several units on the second and third floors of an Elm Street high-rise suffered heavy damage overnight when flames broke out in an apartment kitchen and quickly spread.

One firefighter was injured battling the blaze, but all the tenants got out unharmed, fire officials say.
