Autopsy performed on Laura Garza
An autopsy was performed yesterday on Laura Garza's body that was flown to New York from Pennsylvania earlier this week.
World-renowned pathologist Dr. Michael Baden conducted the autopsy in Albany. Police say it could be several days before the results of the autopsy are released.
Investigators have determined Garza, 25, died in New York, not in the wooded area around Mt. Kobb, Pa., where her remains were found.
Authorities say convicted sex offender Michael Mele remains the main suspect in Garza's death.
A candlelight vigil will be held Monday outside the Manhattan nightclub where officials say Garza and Mele met in December 2008.
