Students protest for teacher's tenure

Students at Mamaroneck High School protested last week after the school district said it may not grant one of their beloved teachers tenure.

The protest was yet another step students have taken to show their support for English teacher Jennifer Rosenzweig. The students have written letters and e-mails to the district and made their voices heard at board meetings.

Superintendent Paul Fried wouldn't say why Rosenzweig may not receive tenure, but did say that it has nothing to do with money.

District officials have until June 30 to make a final decision.
