NYPD cop from S. Nyack succumbs to crash injuries

A New York City police officer from South Nyack succumbed to injuries sustained in an April car accident.

Andrew Sipp was driving to work when he lost control of his motorcycle on the Bronx River Parkway on April 4. Officials say he fell off the bike while trying to avoid an accident in front of him.

Funeral services for Sipp, who leaves behind a wife and two children, will be held today at 11 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church in Nyack.
