198,000 Hummers recalled worldwide for hood fix
A potentially dangerous decorative piece on the hoods of Hummers H3 vehicles has prompted a recall of 198,000 vehicles worldwide.
General Motors is recalling all H3s and H3Ts produced since the 2006 model year to fix a portion of the hood called a louver.
Officials at Hummer say the louver, a decorative device originally designed to help cool engines, can potentially come loose and detach while driving.
General Motors tried selling Hummer to a Chinese buyer earlier this year. They are now in the process of shutting down the brand since that deal fell through.
