Cops nab bank robbery suspect in just minutes

A bank robbery suspect didn't make it very far last week after entering a TD Bank in Pelham, handing over a note to tellers and demanding cash.

Police say the suspect fled the Lincoln Avenue bank heading toward Mount Vernon around 10 a.m. Friday.

An officer stopped to talk to a man walking down the street who matched the description of the suspect. As they talked, the officer says the man started acting suspicious, and he arrested him shortly after.

Police are unsure of how much money the suspect made off with or whether a weapon may have been involved.
