White House says Pakistan Taliban behind NY bomb

John Brennan, President Barack Obama's homeland security and counterterrorism adviser, says authoritiesbelieve the Paskistani Taliban was behind the attempted bombing atTimes Square.

Brennan said Sunday that while the investigation is ongoing,"it looks like" accused bomber Faisal Shahzad was working for theTehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, or "TTP." The militant group isbelieved to be hiding senior al-Qaida leaders, including Osama binLaden.

Brennan says the finding "underscores the serious threat thatwe face from a very determined enemy." He spoke on CNN's "Stateof the Union."
