Driver hurt in Yorktown rollover crash

Police say rainy weather played a part in yesterday morning's rollover crash on the Bear Mountain Parkway in Yorktown.

The roof of the Toyota 4 Runner SUV was crushed after the vehicle lost control on the wet road and flipped over multiple times underneath an overpass shortly after 9 a.m.

State police say the driver, who hasn't been identified, may have swerved to avoid a deer and hit a slick spot. The driver was taken to Hudson Valley Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
