Rye man killed in car crash

Police are trying to figure how out a car that crashed into a concrete barrier could have been launched into the air, landing 40 feet below onto I-95 today.

The man driving that vehicle, 48-year-old Mark Drago, was thrown from the vehicle and killed on impact.

Police say Drago was getting onto an on-ramp when he lost control, hit a concrete barrier and somehow went airborne and nose dived onto I-95 below.

Investigators say speed was definitely a factor and they are still looking into whether alcohol or drugs played a role as well.
