Woodlands H.S. students protest possible layoff

Nearly 50 Woodlands High School students marched on their school administration building yesterday morning to protest the rumored removal of a beloved school resource officer.

Students brandished signs and chanted protests, saying they feel less safe after hearing that a police officer assigned to the school could be removed due to budget cuts next year.

Administration officials have not commented on the student demonstration or confirmed the planned elimination of the officer.

A vote on the current school budget is being held today.
