Cats up for adoption after work as donors

Five generous felines are up for adoption in Pomona after providing their own blood to nearly 1,000 sick cats over the course of the past year.

Maury, Rizzo, Stuart Little, Walter and Liberty have been giving their blood to cats in need at the Hudson Valley Humane Society in Pomona. Now, advocates at the shelter say it's their turn to be loved and taken care of.

"They've done a great service to the feline community," says Ann Marie Guadio of the Humane Society. "The least we could do - the animal loving community - is say 'Hey, let's pay it back and find them a good home.'"
