Ex-NYC mayor brings 'Fix Albany' fight to HV

Former New York City Mayor Ed Koch joined the Westchester County Association in Rye Brook last week to kick off their "Call to Action Campaign," a campaign designed to unite citizens to send a message to lawmakers in Albany.

Call to Action organizer Bill Mooney says the organization crosses party lines and does not endorse any political candidates, but rather calls out candidates who refuse to cut spending, lower taxes and vote against unfunded state mandates.

"I think we're going to win this time simply because the voters are so angry," Koch says. "Every legislator who's an incumbent is in danger."

Mooney says that beginning this fall, the organization will be hosting a series of debates between candidates.
