'Click It or Ticket' campaign begins

Police officers throughout the Hudson Valley are beginning their annual "Click It or Ticket" campaign and will be paying extra attention to motorists driving without a seat belt.

The campaign comes just before the Memorial Day holiday, a time of year when there are frequently more cars on the road.

Last week, nearly a dozen local police officers received motorcycle training so they will be able to hunt down and ticket seat belt violators more easily.

Anyone found driving without wearing a seatbelt could receive a ticket of up to $50. The campaign runs until June 6.
