School stabbing prompts extra security

Extra security is now in place at the Nelson Mandela High School in Mount Vernon after a student was arrested for allegedly stabbing two other students over a basketball game earlier in the week.

The two victims are still in the hospital after one of them was slashed in the hand, and the other stabbed in the back just before school dismissal on Tuesday.

Police say Alexander James, an 18-year-old student at the school, was arrested for the stabbing.
