Nation's soldiers honored in New Rochelle

Ceremonies and services were held across Westchester and the Hudson Valley today to honor the nation's war dead.

In New Rochelle hundreds of people turned out to pay tribute. John Guthrie, who served in World War II, says he couldn't have imagined a better way to spend his 93rd birthday.

"I feel good. It makes me feel proud that all these people are out here," Guthrie says.

Many in attendance said it's important to honor those who sacrificed themselves for their country.
