Manhunt continues for Leroi Bouche, suspected of running over Yonkers detective in Mount Vernon
Authorities are continuing to search for the hit-and-run suspect who allegedly ran over a Yonkers detective last week in Mount Vernon.
The suspect, 27-year-old Leroi Bouche, evaded police during a massive manhunt on Friday that locked down schools and sent business owners into a panic.
Some business owners say they are hard at work today trying to make up for the revenue lost during the lockdown.
"It was very, very slow. Everybody was stuck in the traffic outside, everybody was looking at what happened, and nobody come to the store," says convenience store owner John Sedek.
Police are warning residents that the former convict has a violent criminal past and may be armed.
Residents are advised to call police if they spot Bouche.
