Police shut down both lanes of traffic on 9W in Haverstraw Sunday after a deadly motorcycle accident. Authorities say a man was killed after his motorcycle hit a gray Dodge Caravan just before 3 p.m.

Police shut down both lanes of traffic on 9W in Haverstraw Sunday after a deadly motorcycle accident.
Authorities say a man was killed after his motorcycle hit a gray Dodge Caravan just before 3 p.m. They say the man from Clarkstown was in his 40s.
No one else was injured in the crash.
Authorities say that a family from New Jersey, including two children, were in the Dodge Caravan at the time of the accident.
The police chief has said that it does not look like sun glare or light was a factor in the accident, but adds that the area is hilly and has had it's fair share of motorcycle accidents.
