A Bronxville breast cancer survivor is preparing to climb to new heights.
Ruth McNeill, who was diagnosed with breast cancer five years ago, plans to climb Mt. Shasta in northern California to raise awareness for breast cancer.
Guides will take McNeill and 28 others up 14,179 feet to the peak of the mountain on the three-day journey later this month.
The wife, mother and owner of Dobbs and Bishop Fine Cheese says her immediate goal is to make it the top of mountain, but she is also raising money for the Breast Cancer Fund, a group that focuses more on prevention than treatment.
