Possible fratricide in Yonkers
(07/19/03) YONKERS - A 24-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Yonkers. He was found Saturday morning in a pool of blood, and police said his 28-year-old sister is the main suspect.
Yonkers police said Akenton Stinson was found lying inside a convenience store. He was stabbed once in the chest and later died at a Yonkers hospital. Police said the victim ran down the street at around 2:00 a.m. and collapsed in the store located near the corner of Highland Avenue and Riverdale Avenue.
Crime scene detectives recovered two knives at scene. Yonkers detectives said that Tamisha "Mimi" Ezell, the victim's sister, gave statements implicating herself in the attack. She was charged with first-degree manslaughter.
