Testing day for county airport workers
h(07/21/03) WHITE PLAINS - Baggage workers at the Westchester County Airport are taking a mandatory exam Monday as part of a nation-wide downsizing plan.
Those who fail the test will be fired. Officials say about a third of the 86 screeners employed at the airport are expected to be cut.
The Transportation Security Administration said cuts should not affect airport security, but could lead to longer lines for travelers.
