Possible drug war in Westchester

(08/01/03) YONKERS - A funeral for murder victim Kenneth Whitehead has held in Yonkers on Friday. Whitehead was killed last weekend on Ravine Avenue and following another murder Thursday night, cops believe a drug war might be starting.

Area residents want to know when the violence is going to stop. Police have increased patrols in the area around Ravine and Warburton avenues, and investigators are looking into whether or not the latest shooting involves drugs. Police are also looking to see if there is a connection between the two killings.

There have been no arrests made in either shooting, and police say witnesses have been uncooperative.
