Mt. Vernon tenants steamed over having no hot water for two weeks

Tenants at 55 Pennsylvania Ave. are steamed over recent water problems.

It's been two weeks since tenants first complained about the water problems at their Mount Vernon building. The building superintendent has restored the cold water, but still no hot water. Tenants say they either have to take cold showers or heat up the cold water and take a bath.

The superintendent promises the hot water will be back Monday and explained that there was a delay because a permit was needed for workers to fix the pipes.

For now, tenants say they are frustrated and hope the problem is resolved soon.
