Westchester residents feeling the pinch at the pump

Gas prices across Westchester continue to rise and in some areas have hit $2 a gallon.

Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) has blamed the rising gas prices on Saudi Arabia, saying they are holding consumers hostage by not producing more oil. He also took aim at the Bush administration for not taking a stronger stand against one of the largest oil producing countries.

And while politicians are playing the blame game, residents are just trying to cope. One resident said he sees little sense in complaining since he really has no choice but to pay the high prices.

Schumer has called on the U.S. government to release some of its oil that's in reserves as a way to bring the gas prices down.
