Scarsdale police officer escapes after power lines fell on his car

A Scarsdale cop had to make a daring escape from his police car after power lines fell on it. At around 8 p.m. on Monday, power lines fell in the middle of Herkimer Street. Police and fire crews had to wait for Con Edison to cut power before they could remove the patrol car.

Dozens of area homes lost power for a few hours.
