Construction delays start of school in Dobbs Ferry

School was supposed to begin on Wednesday for students in Dobbs Ferry, but they'll be getting one more day of summer vacation thanks to a construction project that is delaying the opening of all three schools in the district. School will start for all Dobbs Ferry students on Thursday. The $27 million construction project includes a new gym, new floors and much more. Chairs, desks, and even ceilings have been replaced, making the environment much more inviting for teachers and students alike. The delay is being blamed on the blackout and recent inclement weather. The schools have promised to make up the extra day off during the school year.
