GOP primary race for Eastchester town supervisor still too close to call

So far, challenger Anthony Colavita is slightly ahead of incumbent Jim Cavanaugh.

According to the Westchester County Board of Elections, Eastchester Town Councilman Colavita has 2,237 votes while Cavanaugh has 2,194 votes.

Cavanaugh describes the race as very close and very unsettled. As for Colavita, he says he is happy to be ahead and hopes when the final votes are counted he will be victorious.

The board of elections is now counting the paper ballots and the absentee ballots. Then the voting machines will be re-canvassed on Monday. Once the re-checking process is complete a winner will be announced.
