White Plains hospital celebrates ten years of providing neo-natal care

The White Plains Hospital Center celebrated a decade of providing neo-natal care on Sunday, holding a big reunion for families and the doctors who helped bring their youngsters into the world.Despite the soggy weather, mothers, fathers and hospital staff crowded underneath a tent on Maple Avenue to celebrate life, while the children enjoyed clowns, musicians and face painting. Each year, the White Plains Hospital Center takes care of over 400 babies who are very ill, some even close to death. The neo-natal center has recently been acknowledged as a level-3 intensive care unit by the New York State Health Department, which allows the facility to take care of even the unhealthiest newborns.Click here for more information, or call the neo-natal unit at 914-681-1119.
