Fire breaks out at Yonkers apartment building

Just after 9 p.m. on Wednesday a fire broke out on the top floor of a Yonkers apartment building located on Manning Avenue.

Several fire crews from the Yonkers Fire Department raced to the scene dousing the flames with water. Firefighters had the blaze under control within 30 minutes.

Officials say it does not appear at this time if anyone was trapped in the building or if there were any injuries.

It's also unclear right now what may have sparked the fire.
