At about 7:35 Monday morning, the 10th grader was struck by a pickup truck at the intersection of Routes 133 and 134, only a couple blocks away from Ossining High School. Police say the driver of the truck stopped, backed up, drove around the young victim and then sped away.Ossining High Principal Joshua Mandel says Menchala's condition is improving.
