Dog owners in Bedford work to set up a park that caters to man's best friend

Some Bedford residents want to create a park just for dogs.

Dog owners say they want a place where they can take their dogs and let them run loose. So they are asking the town to set aside a park where a dog can just be a dog.

Nick Goodfriend belongs to a group called Bedford Dog Owner Group. He is working with the town to establish a park that would be exempt from the town's leash law.

For dog owner Peter Mills, the idea of a dog-friendly park is a great idea. He says his dog was once hit by a car so now he is reluctant to let him run loose.

If the dog owners get what they want, a dog-friendly park could become a part of Bedford by next spring.
