Popular New Rochelle nightclub forced to close its doors for good

Efforts to crackdown on nightclubs and bars in New Rochelle continue as the Palladium shuts its doors.

The popular Palladium club on Main Street is now closed for good after years of legal battles. In recent months, the club was plagued by allegations of drug sales and underage drinking. Back in February it was closed down, but later reopened with increased security and an increased police presence. Club owners supposedly spent more than $2,500 a night to pay for club security.

Meanwhile, there are no plans to open another club at the Palladium's location because it is across the street from a church, which is against state law. Club owners are now fighting the matter.
